Simple ways of feeling good about yourself
It doesn’t really matter what others think of you. What actually matter is what you think of yourself. You need to value yourself for what you are. If you yourself won’t do that, how can you expect others to get that positive vibe from you? If you are filled with negativity, you clearly won’t be able to leave a good impression on others which will in turn make you feel low. So don’t think much about what you don’t have. Take pride in what you are capable of and your self-esteem will automatically rise. If you do not know what to do to boost your self-esteem, here are a few things that can help you:
Do not compare yourself with others
This is perhaps the first step you can take towards boosting your self-esteem. You have to stop looking at others and start believing in yourself. Of course it is good to have a role model or to take in the best from others. But that does not mean you forget what is good in you. Stop comparing yourself with others and you will feel much better about yourself.
Compliment yourself
There are so many reasons to love yourself, so why don’t you show out all that love by complimenting yourself? No doubt it feels great when you get compliments from people. But doing the same for yourself too helps a lot in boosting your self-confidence.
Exercise regularly
Your body too plays a major role when it comes to feeling good about yourself. Keep yourself fit and healthy by exercising for at least 30 minutes every 4-5 days of the week. Making yourself look good will give you the feeling of being wanted. It will get you compliments from people which will help you in feeling great too.
Look at your achievements
Everyone has their own set of achievements and failures. You can definitely learn from your past failures and try to make sure that you do not commit those mistakes again. But also take out a minute and look back at all the things that you have achieved. No matter how small or big these achievement are, you earn have earned them. So feel proud about it.
Keep smiling
There cannot be a better way to boost yourself than smiling. Smiling leads to a change in your flow of blood towards your brain which helps in reliving tension. So keep smiling to feel better. This is an instant self-esteem booster.
